Zen - An Browser with a Lot of Potential

I usually don't write about browsers, as I don't really care about them. I've been using Firefox for a long time, and I'm quite happy with it. But recently, I stumbled upon Zen, and I was quite impressed with it.

Zed - After One Month

Around a month or so, I wrote a post about how I started using Zed as my new code editor, and why I like it so much. And now, after using it for a month, I've decided to write a follow-up post about it, and how I feel about it now.

Zed - My New Code Editor

Up until very recently, I was using Visual Studio Code as my main code editor, and I was quite happy with it. And I even used VsCode (and it's forks like VSCodium) for a long time, and I actually never used anything else for a long time, nor did I want to.

Then, I stumbled upon Zed, after hearing seeing a few people talking about it on Mastodon and other groups I was in. I decided to give it a try, and I was quite impressed with it.

Installing Fedora Asahi Remix

I've used macOS ever since I got my new device, which is well over a month now. It went pretty great, but I've started to want more and more to go back to my "home" system, which is Linux.

My Take on Serverless Hosting

Not too long ago, I was browsing YouTube when I stumbled upon a video that caught my attention. The video was from FireShip, about a recent change in the pricing of a popular serverless hosting platform, Vercel. That got my attention, and I decided to watch the video to see what the fuss was about. It was about a Vercel customer was surprised to get a $96K serverless bill after their app went viral. The video was quite interesting, and it got me thinking about serverless hosting. I have been using Vercel for a while now, and I have been quite happy with it. A few weeks later it turned out that Cloudflare Pages also had similar drama.

Next Steps for Aplós

Aplós has been a project that I have been working on for a while now. It has been a great learning experience for me, and I have learned a lot from it. Since the start of the project, a lot has changed in terms of how the general structure of the project is, and it's next steps.

MacOS for Web Development

Recently, I got myself an MacBook Air, my first MacOS device. Since when I got it, I planned to switch to Asahi Linux, but due to the lack of support for Thunderbolt (that is neecessary if you have a laptop with 3 ports from which 2 are Thunderbolt), I decided to stick with MacOS till the support is there.

I have been using MacOS for a bit now, and I have some thoughts about it.

My Time with VitePress

As you may know, I recently launched a new project named "Aplós" – a VitePress theme that introduced me to the world of "Markdown" on the web.

Until then, I wasn't a fan of Zola, Jekyll, VuePress, and all these 'blog' static engines. In fact, I wasn't fond of VitePress initially; it seemed confusing. However, Aplós changed my perspective on static engines and led me to the point where I rebuilt my website using both VitePress and Aplós.
